Power Hour/High Yield Activities– Club members achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners. Poster-sized Power Points chart track and reward participants’ progress.

Project Learn – Project Learn reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school during the hours they spend at the Club. This comprehensive program strategy is based on research showing that students do much better in school when they spend their non-school hours engaged in fun, but academically beneficial, activities. Project Learn also emphasizes parent involvement and collaboration between Club and school professionals as critical factors in creating the best after-school learning environment for Club members ages 6-18. Extensively field-tested and formally evaluated, Project Learn has been proven to boost the academic performance of Club members.

STEM – The DYI STEM program is a hands-on, activity-based STEM curriculum which connects youth aged 9 to 12 to science themes they encounter regularly. Special attention is paid to connections of theory and application and the common interactions members have with these scientific principles. DIY STEM currently includes five modules: Energy and Electricity, Engineering Design, Food Chemistry, Aeronautics and Robotics.

Creative Arts – This year-round program encourages artistic expression among Club members ages 6-18 through nine different categories of visual arts including monochromatic and multi-colored drawing, oil painting and watercolor, printmaking, collage, mixed media, pastel and group projects while providing opportunities for members to create artwork for display in a local exhibit.

Triple Play –strives to improve the overall health of Club members ages 6-18 by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships. Triple Play promotes becoming more physically active through fun daily fitness routines. Curricula/programs include Daily Challenges. These resources encourage youth to become more physically active through fun fitness routines.

Specialized Programs – The Club has a variety of specialized programs, providing activities once a week in a 6 week unit. These programs enhance member’s health and life skills, teach youth about green initiatives and develop leadership and citizenship.
