DEAF & HARD OF HEARING

Hello!

We welcome Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Children of Deaf Adults (CODAs), and siblings of DHH members (SODAs) in 1st–12th grade to join our after-school enrichment program! Registration is only $100, and monthly fees are waived.

Our DHH Program at the Main Club provides after-school activities Monday–Friday from school release until 6 PM, including tutoring, homework help, STEM, Athletics, Arts, Robotics, Leadership, and more—all supported in American Sign Language by dedicated staff. Free transportation is also available from Washington Elementary, Muir middle school and Burbank High School for students who do not qualify for district transportation.

For questions? Please contact DHH@bgcburbank.org!

The only program of its kind in the area, the D/HH Program provides after school enrichment through tutoring, homework assistance and recreational activities facilitated in sign language. The program is free of charge, for children 6-18 and welcomes Deaf, Hard of Hearing, CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) and SODA (Sibling of Deaf Adult). It is currently only offered at the Main Club, in the Learning Center, where members can enjoy the benefits of our Clubhouse programs, including: Creative Arts, Dance, Technology, Athletics, Gymnastics, and so on.

ASL Club
The American Sign Language Club brings awareness about the deaf culture while teaching American Sign Language to the campus community. The Club aims to provide members with ASL skills and knowledge of the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities in order to apply ASL to their own lives for ages 6-18.
